To graph the transformation $y = f(-x)\text{,}$ it is helpful to begin with the graph of $y = f(x)$ and select a few points on it. Then, reflect those points over the $y$-axis, and complete the sketch of the reflected function $y = f(-x)\text{.}$ Move the slider on the graph above, and the graph will be reflected over the $y$-axis to make $y = f(-x)\text{.}$ Notice that the point $(0,8)$ didn’t move as you changed the slider. Why not?
